I am writing this post to speak up for vintage fabric everywhere. Vintage fabric that is clearly not fulfilling it’s destiny. Awesome vintage fabric, day in and day out, tragically misused, mishandled and just plain unappreciated.
FACT: Right now, somewhere, there is vintage fabric being shoved, hidden, stuffed in a closet. And that somewhere ladies and germs, is in my husbands closet. I seriously doubt this unique, nautical, cotton canvas print wants to hold my husbands laundry for the rest of it’s life.
There is a silver lining though… This fabric is in mint condition! Everything that belongs to my husband is. He’s really good at taking care of his things. Unlike me. My plan… rescue (some may call it “steal” or take without asking) vintage fabric and make it into an unbelievably cute shoulder/tote bag. I will be sure to post pics of the finished product.
I see tragedies like this all to often. It’s heartbreaking. Truly devastating. But it can be stopped. One laundry bag at a time.

Hi! Not sure where to tell you which pattern that I liked for the Fabric Shopper giveaway, but thought this would work! I love the Baby Ruffle Pants! We called them turkey panties when I was a little girl and loved when we got to wear them! I’ve a 4 month old niece that NEEDS some of these! Thanks for the chance to win!
I’m visiting from The Fabric Shopper blog — and would like to enter the giveaway! I LOVE the ruffle bottom pattern from Bettsy Kingston, put frankly I think I would get more use out of the reversible pinny for my little girl. Such gorgeous fabrics you have in your shop! Am going to have to lurk for a while until I can make up my mind….
Cheers!
Jill
Wanted: New laundry bag to hold my clothes. I have a funny feeling I may need one soon.
