My Pick for Best Dressed….

Miley Cyrus!!!

I’m not sure why she’s standing like her back hurts but I think she looks stunning! This is my favorite dress of the evening.

Anyone else want to chime in?

Oh…. and I must give props to Meryl Streep whom I didn’t even recognize in this photo until I looked very closely. She has never looked better!

Just Added……..

Katy Perry

Focus on the dress-not the face.

I agree… both women look beautiful! Miley looks very sophisticated!

My pick is Sandy Powell who won the Oscar for Best Costume Design. Her outfit was so original and full of little details (I suppose that talent is what led her to the award!)

I didn’t see hers. I need to check that one out. I would hope she would be dressed to kill since she won for costume design. I would love to know who everyone thought WORST dressed was. There were plenty to choose from….

I was very impressed with Miley’s choice, but I was absolutely nonplussed by Meryl’s. Her shoulder pads were far too strong, especially with such a soft and alluring hairstyle. I appreciated the draped, plunging neckline, but I can’t get over the non sequitur shoulder line! If her designer had taken those seams in even just a little, I think it would’ve worked so much better. While I’m not really a fan, I think Kristen Stewart had the best dress of the night.

I hear you… And now looking at this on my larger screen you a right about the shoulder pads on Meryls’ dress. I always wonder why stylists don’t pay attention to those small, yet important details. And her shoes aren’t right either. A little too…. casual? Is that the word? But you have to admit for an older woman… she’s pretty old…. she pulled it together pretty well.
I did add one more to the best dressed list (above). Katy Perry! Again, I’m really not a fan of hers as I think her whole “look” is manufactured and not what you would call “effortless”. But…. I think this dress was a good choice for her and she looked amazing…. for her.
